General Manager required for a Restaurant and Bar which is part of a small, independent group of businesses. This role, working in an extremely busy city centre restaurant is a great opportunity to develop a close core team and push an already successful business.

This group have been growing consistently within the city of Birmingham with great success and are also looking to grow several of their brands, including this one outside of the city. They still operate as an independent, giving their teams great autonomy and encouraging close teams to enjoy their time at work together. Offering the feel and opportunity of an independent business but with the added stability of a long-standing group.

The successful Restaurant and Bar General Manager will have -

• Excellent people skills with both guests and your team. You will effectively communicate, delegate and motivate
• A natural passion for food and beverages, you will be aware of trends within the market
• A strong commercial focus, you will be an 'ideas' person and someone who thinks outside the box to drive revenue and save on the bottom line - here you will have autonomy
• Experience with forecasting, GP's, P&Ls and business management plans
• A CV which shows longevity and loyalty within your career
• Awareness and a great working knowledge of all legislation that is relevant to your work: Licensing, Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, Environmental Health, Fire Precautions etc
