Commercial Manager

The Role

As the Commercial Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing commercial operations across complex PFI contracts, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strong financial performance.


Key responsibilities include:


Managing month-end commercial and financial processes
Overseeing complex contracts with a strong focus on compliance and contractual scrutiny
Working closely with operational and finance teams to support project delivery
Managing commercial risk, penalties, and performance measures across contracts
Supporting dynamic decision-making within a fast-paced commercial environment
Ensuring accurate reporting and effective contract administration
Contributing to the successful delivery of PP1 & PP2 PFI projects About You

To succeed as a Commercial Manager, you will need strong commercial awareness, excellent contract management skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.


You will ideally have:


Proven experience managing complex contracts within facilities management, PFI, construction, or commercial environments
Strong understanding of financial management and month-end processes
Legal or Quantity Surveying qualifications
Experience dealing with contract scrutiny, compliance, and performance-related penalties
A proactive, dynamic, and solutions-focused approach
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced commercial setting Experience with PFI contracts and education-sector projects would be highly advantageous.
