Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £65-£70k plus package
Due to continued growth, my client is seeking an experienced senior quantity surveyor to support the commercial management of civil engineering projects across the Midlands.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of multiple projects from procurement through to final account and will involves working closely with operational teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Management of project costs and commercial reporting.
Preparation and submission of interim valuations and applications for payment.
Assessment and agreement of subcontractor applications and final accounts.
Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors and suppliers.
Preparation, submission, and negotiation of variations and compensation events.
Cost forecasting, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
Contract administration under NEC forms of contract
Production of monthly CVRs and commercial reports.
Supporting project teams to achieve commercial and operational objectives.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector.
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (essential).
Experience in highways, infrastructure, utilities and groundworks
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
