English Teacher

- Pay: £175 – £250 per day (paid to scale)
A secondary school in Sandwell is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a long-term assignment.
The role involves teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills. You will support pupils in preparing for GCSE English, helping them build confidence and achieve strong academic outcomes.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, marking work, and assessing student progress, while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and engagement. The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- Have experience teaching English at secondary level
- Be confident delivering English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to supporting pupil progress and attainment
