Year 2 Class Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Selly Oak, South Birmingham from September 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher to work within a supportive team and contribute to a positive learning environment during this important stage of pupils’ education.

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
• Contribute to the wider life of the school

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable)
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A passion for creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences
• A reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement
