Job Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-shift vehicle checks to ensure the forklift is in safe working condition before each shift.
- Transport packaging materials to and from manufacturing cells efficiently and safely.
- Move finished stock and store it securely in designated areas using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Report any faults or damage to the forklift to the Team Leader or Shift Manager immediately.
- Adhere to all plant procedures and safety protocols during daily operations.
- Support manufacturing processes by ensuring timely and accurate movement of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full Counterbalance Forklift Licence (valid and recognised in the UK).
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating counterbalance forklifts.
- Experience working with stillages and other material handling equipment.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
- Strong team-working skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Reliable and punctual with a proactive approach to safety and operational procedures.
