Initial Teaching Training Placement (ITT)

Nobody knows teaching like we do. Whether you're just thinking about it or ready to apply, we offer free advice and support to decide if teaching in a primary or secondary school in England is right for you. Discover a career with lots of opportunities to grow.

Why become a teacher?

Teaching is a career that shapes you, as much as it does others. Where no two days are the same, and where you can turn your passion into your profession.

You can bring creativity to the classroom every day, and in turn have a lasting impact; inspiring the next generation.

In teaching, as you grow, so does your career. Opportunities for progression are varied, whether that be through a position as head of year or head of subject, or through taking on a pastoral role. With added responsibilities you can expect additional pay rewards.

Nothing says passion for your subject like a career in the classroom. If you're interested in training to teach, Get Into Teaching will tell you everything you need to know.

"If you enjoy working with people, not just children, then teaching is a great career. Not only is every day different but each day is full of positive energy and rewarding moments."

Josh Price - Science Teacher

"I love being challenged to get better every day: better at my subject, better at forming connections with others, better at explaining things. Beyond that, being able to profoundly impact so many people's lives - and have them impact on you - is an exciting privilege."

Ben Breen - Head of Mathematics
