Geography ECT Vacancy - Outstanding School in Birmingham!
An Outstanding secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a Geography ECT from September 2026 to join its high-achieving and supportive Humanities department. This would be on a full-time and permanent basis.

The school is looking for a Geography ECT who can bring enthusiasm, strong subject knowledge, and a genuine passion for teaching into the classroom. You will be joining a team committed to delivering engaging lessons and helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and strong analytical and investigative skills.
The Role
You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 for the right candidate. Lessons should be engaging, challenging, and accessible, encouraging students to think critically, explore global and environmental issues, and develop both geographical and fieldwork skills alongside theoretical understanding.
The department has a strong culture of collaboration, with teachers regularly sharing ideas, resources, and best practice. There will also be opportunities to contribute to enrichment activities such as field trips, Geography clubs, intervention programmes, competitions, and cross-curricular projects.
Students are well-behaved, motivated, and respond positively to teachers who are supportive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about their subject.
