Waste Enforcement Officer - £21.95 p/h
Hybrid working - but a lot of out and about investigation work

Initial 3 month contract, possible extensions

Experience delivering on‑street statutory waste enforcement within a local authority, public sector organisation, or comparable contracted enforcement service.
Experience of engaging effectively with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to resolve issues impacting the local environment, particularly those relating to waste, littering, fly‑tipping, or duty of care.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with external partner agencies, including the police and other enforcement or regulatory bodies, to achieve compliance and joint outcomes.
Experience of managing a caseload of waste enforcement, compliance, or investigation‑based cases on behalf of a front‑line operational service.
Evidence‑gathering and reporting skills, including the ability to produce clear, accurate written statements, witness accounts, and case files to support formal or legal proceedings.
Knowledge of relevant waste and environmental legislation, in particular duties and offences under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Resilience, professionalism, and confidence working in an on‑street environment, including dealing with conflict and maintaining personal safety
Full UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle
