Finance Officer - Secondary School - Wolverhampton
A successful and well-organised 11–18 secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance Officer to join its business and operations team. This role is central to the financial health of the school and offers the opportunity to work in a professional, supportive environment where finance is valued as a strategic function.
The Role
Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the school, ensuring accuracy, compliance and value for money.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing purchase orders, invoices and payments
Monitoring budgets and maintaining accurate financial records
Supporting budget planning and financial reporting
Managing reconciliation and audit preparation
Liaising with suppliers and resolving finance queries
Supporting compliance with financial procedures and controls
The role offers variety and responsibility, with scope to contribute to longer-term financial planning as well as routine processes.
