Group Tax Manager (Multinational, hybrid)

A rapidly growing multinational Global Solar company are looking for a Group Tax Manager. This is a newly created opportunity, reporting into the Head of Tax. You will lead a team responsible for managing tax compliance activities, mitigating risks, and optimising the overall tax position of the organisation.

This is an all-encompassing role, liaising directly with the wider finance team and external advisers to ensure all aspects of direct and indirect tax are accounted for.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the Tax team. You will provide strategic leadership in navigating the evolving tax landscape, driving UK tax initiatives, managing complex tax matters, and building strong relationships with strong stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

- Review and submission of UK corporate tax returns
- Manage corporate tax compliance and reporting, having total oversight of all group entities across all jurisdictions
- Ownership of VAT compliance for the group including; preparation of quarterly VAT returns, ensuring MTD for VAT compliance is maintained and managing PESM with HMRC
- Take the lead on all international tax work as the business continue to grow/expand
- Managing relationships with external advisors and tax authorities
- Continuous project work
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities to address queries, audits, and resolve any compliance-related issues.

Requirements:

- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified ideally with a move in-house preferred
- Mixed tax experience across both Direct and Indirect and working knowledge of Employment Taxes
- Strong communication skills liaising with non-tax personnel
- A confident, autonomous mindset with strong technical skills and the readiness to take a “hands on” approach.
- Desire to eventually build out and lead a team
