Administrative Officer
Job Title: Administration Officer – Student Finance Support
Pay Rate: £13.07 - £14.95 per hour + holiday pay
Location: Birmingham City Centre
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday – fully onsite
Contract: Temporary, ongoing
Do you have a strong background in administrative work with proven experience? TPP Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a respected Higher Education institution to recruit an experienced Administration Officer to join their Student Finance Support team.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students, particularly mature learners to navigate the complexities of student finance. You’ll be the first point of contact for finance-related enquiries, offering clear guidance and administrative support throughout the student loan application process. You’ll work closely with a range of teams including Admissions, Student Services, Assessment, and the Student Loans Company. Key responsibilities:
- Support students with completing student loan applications and forms
- Respond to finance-related queries via phone, email, and in-person at the helpdesk
- Accurately input and maintain student finance data and documentation
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Senior Finance Manager
About you:
- Background in a student-facing role within Higher Education or a similar environment
- Proven administrative experience
- Excellent communication skills with a supportive, problem-solving approach
- Comfortable working onsite five days per week in Birmingham
- Willingness to support occasional weekend work as needed
