Computer Science Teacher – Maternity Cover

Job Type: Full time, Temporary, Maternity Cover
Salary: £165-£262 per day (dependent on experience)
Location: South Birmingham

Monarch Education are working in partnership with a well‑regarded secondary school and sixth form centre in South Birmingham to recruit a Computer Science Teacher for a full‑time maternity cover position, starting November 2026.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward‑thinking and supportive department within a large 11-18 setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

You will be expected to:

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Computer Science lessons
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated and experienced department

The Ideal Candidate

You should have:

• Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science
• The ability to engage and motivate learners
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills
