History Teacher — Outstanding Secondary School in Birmingham

An outstanding secondary school serving a diverse inner-city community in Birmingham is seeking a part-time History Teacher to join its Humanities department. This role offers a genuinely rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is interested in delivering a curriculum that reflects the histories and heritage of the school's diverse student population.
You will teach History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Edexcel), with a curriculum that includes the study of migration, empire, and the local history of Birmingham itself. The role includes contributing to ongoing curriculum development within the Humanities department, as well as supporting enrichment visits to local museums and heritage sites that connect classroom learning to the city's history. You will also be expected to maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to department planning meetings.

Requirements
Degree in History and QTS
Strong subject knowledge across KS3-4 History
Interest in inclusive curriculum design that reflects students' heritage
Effective behaviour management suited to an inner-city setting
Willingness to contribute to department planning and enrichment visits
