An established Regional Contractor based in the Midlands is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their growing operational team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work across the Midlands & Central regions, delivering projects within the healthcare, education and commercial sectors.

The successful candidate will initially take responsibility for delivering a £4m scheme consisting of both new build and refurbishment works within a live critical environment. Acting as the Number 1 on site, you will oversee the project from inception through to completion over a 9-month programme before moving onto future developments within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site as Number 1 Site Manager
• Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
• Manage both new build and refurbishment elements of the project within a live operational environment
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectations
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and ensure full site compliance
• Chair site meetings and maintain strong communication with clients, consultants and internal teams
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement solutions to maintain programme delivery
• Oversee quality inspections, snagging and handover processes

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Main Contractor
• Must have experience acting as the Number 1 Site Manager on projects
• Strong background delivering new build and refurbishment schemes
• Previous experience working within live environments would be highly advantageous but not essential
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications essential
• Must be available to start a new position in June
