Class 2 Driver

Here at GXO Logistics , we are looking for a HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our team in Birmingham for our customer, a British retailer, WHSmith .

You will be working on a full-time , permanent basis, contracted to 45 hours per week. We are currently recruiting for the following shifts:

• ‘ Any 5 days out of 7’, with start times between 00:00 and 11:59 (AM shift)
• ‘ Any 5 days out of 7’, with start times between 12:00 and 23:59 (PM shift)

What you will do on a typical day:

• Carry out multidrop deliveries to retail spaces while collecting returns from stores in line with operational requirements
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner​​​​​​​ while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles is essential
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
