Construction Associate

Our client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Construction Associate to join their market-leading Construction team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile, non-contentious matters for household-name clients across a diverse range of sectors. Based in one of their regional offices (Birmingham, Manchester, or Leeds), you'll be part of a national team delivering strategic legal advice on major construction and infrastructure projects.

The Role

In this role, you will:

• Advise on non-contentious construction matters including development and infrastructure projects, corporate acquisitions and disposals, real estate finance, and process plant contracts.
  

• Draft, review, and negotiate standard form and bespoke construction documents (including JCT and NEC contracts, development agreements, and process plant documentation).
  

• Work primarily with employers and developers, while bringing value from any experience on the contractor or supply side.
  

• Collaborate closely with partners and senior team members, many of whom bring valuable in-house industry experience.
  

• Have the opportunity to contribute to mentoring junior team members as part of a supportive and high-performing team.
  

• Support clients from project inception through to completion, with the flexibility to be involved in both non-contentious and contentious matters if desired.
  

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and commercially astute junior solicitor (NQ – 2 PQE) with:

• A solid grounding in non-contentious construction law, ideally gained from a leading firm or in-house legal team.
  

• Demonstrable experience with JCT, NEC, and other standard form contracts.
  

• A collaborative, client-focused approach and a genuine interest in the construction and infrastructure sector.
  

• An interest in mentoring and contributing to the development of others in the team is welcomed but not essential.
