Permanent About the role Venatu are working with a market leading and multifaceted Construction, Civil Engineering, and Development company. We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to work on a residential scheme with extensive groundworks. Reporting to the Site Manager you will play a key role within the team, delivering projects, supporting others and continuing to develop personally and professionally. Key responsibilities * Responsible for the construction site, including sub-contractors and the health and safety of personnel.
* Managing and co-ordinating site labour and agency staff.
* Responsible for assisting in the overall management and day to day running on site activity.
* Assisting the Site Manager managing the short-term programme to maximise efficiency and ensure completion is in accordance with the schedule.
* Assisting the Site Manager with management responsibilities for all Health and Safety policies and procedure.
* Assisting with the management of subcontractors, employees and dealing with any issues as and when required.
* Conduct quality checks at various stages of construction, ensuring the proper execution of plans and specifications, identify and address | troubleshoot any construction-related problems.
* Delivery of projects on time and to a high specification.
* Responsible for all document control as an integral part of the project control.
* Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS), policies and procedures. Essential: * Use their own initiative, taking accountability and responsibility for a project from start to finish.
* Deadline driven, instilling motivation in the team to hit key targets.
* Excellent communication skills and good general commercial awareness. * Previous experience in a similar role.
* Experience in residential builds - 3 - 5 years experience
* Experience with groundworks
* Numeracy and IT skills including MS Office, Word, and Excel.
