A well-established and growing business within the metals industry is currently looking to recruit an experienced Sales Estimator to join their commercial team based in Birmingham city centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual with experience within steel, aluminium, stainless, or metal processing environments who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and supportive business.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing accurate quotations and cost estimates from customer enquiries, technical drawings, and specifications
• Reviewing CAD and technical drawings to determine material, processing, and production requirements
• Liaising with production and operations teams regarding pricing, lead times, and project feasibility
• Managing customer enquiries and supporting the sales process from quotation through to order stage
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Ensuring quotations are commercially competitive and accurately costed
• Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems

Candidate Requirements:
• Previous experience within a Sales Estimator, Technical Estimator, Internal Sales, or similar role
• Experience within the metals, steel, aluminium, fabrication, or manufacturing sector is highly desirable
• Ability to confidently read and interpret CAD/technical drawings is essential
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to customer enquiries
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and estimating systems

Package:
• £32,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
• Bonus scheme
• Monday-Friday / 8am-5pm
