Our client is seeking a Service Charge Accountant to join their team in Birmingham. What you'll do:

As a Service Charge Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining financial efficiency within the company. Your excellent attention to detail will be utilised in approving invoices daily, ensuring they are loaded onto TRAMPS and ready for the weekly payment run. You will also be responsible for challenging any budget increases over 10% or ad hoc service charge requests outside of budgets. Your ability to manage cost team mailboxes effectively will make you the main point of escalation. Furthermore, your strong interpersonal skills will be essential in supporting the property manager and wider estates team by providing necessary information/documents. Your commitment to excellence will shine through as you complete quarterly KPI's for ad hoc invoices processing times.

• Approve invoices on a daily basis ensuring they are ready for weekly payment runs.
• Challenge any budget increases over 10% and any ad hoc service charge requests outside of budgets.
• Sign off ATA forms and ATP forms after checking all budget and apportionment information in depth.
• Update service charge master spreadsheet and create monthly reports.
• Manage cost team mailboxes for NatWest and TUI, acting as main point of escalation.
• Support property manager and wider estates team by providing necessary information/documents.
• Complete quarterly KPI's for ad hoc invoices processing times and send to client accounting team.
• Produce daily movement report showing outstanding invoices.
• Hold regular meetings with property managers to resolve any long-standing issues and queries.
• Liaise with Data and AP teams daily to resolve any issues.
