The Role
The school is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to oversee the financial management and budgeting processes across the school.
This role is responsible for ensuring the school’s financial resources are managed effectively and transparently, supporting the school’s long-term strategic priorities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team and governing body to manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the school’s financial planning and budgeting processes
Monitoring expenditure and ensuring effective financial control
Preparing financial reports for senior leaders and governors
Overseeing payroll processes and financial administration
Managing procurement procedures and supplier relationships
Supporting long-term financial planning and strategic decision-making
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements
Supervising finance staff and ensuring efficient financial operations
Monitoring income streams including funding and grants
Financial Leadership
The Finance Manager plays a key role in ensuring the school’s financial resources are used effectively to support educational priorities.
The role requires strong financial oversight, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to senior leaders and governors.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong financial management experience
Excellent analytical and organisational skills
Experience managing budgets and financial reporting

Ability to work strategically while maintaining attention to detail
Experience working in education finance would be advantageous but is not essential.
