Accounts Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time (Temporary to Permanent)
Salary: Circa £26,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm The Opportunity We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts Assistant to join their established Accounts Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous accounts experience, ideally within the property sector, to join a professional and supportive team, with the potential to secure a permanent position. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including: Processing incoming payments relating to rent and service charges
Managing outgoing payments and processing invoices for contractors and clients
Issuing invoices to tenants and leaseholders
Conducting credit control and managing rent/service charge arrears
Preparing monthly and quarterly reports for clients and responding to queries
Handling accounting queries from tenants, leaseholders, and clients
Completing bank reconciliations for client accounts
Supporting general administrative functions within the accounts department
Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations

Candidate Requirements Previous experience in an accounts role is essential
Experience within the property sector is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
