Commercial Associate

The Role:
- Advise clients on UK and EU data protection law (including GDPR and UK DPA)
- Support on DPIAs, TIAs/TRA assessments, and privacy impact frameworks
- Draft, review, and negotiate data protection and commercial contracts
- Manage complex DSARs and data compliance projects
- Advise on cybersecurity incidents and personal data breaches
- Conduct risk assessments involving AI, biometrics, profiling, and emerging technologies
- Support international data transfers and cross-border compliance work
- Contribute to wider strategic and regulatory advisory projects
- High-quality, cutting-edge work across multiple sectors
- Exposure to AI, digital innovation, and regulatory developments

About You:
- Experience in a data protection / privacy team within a law firm or in-house
- Strong understanding of GDPR, UK data protection law, and related regulations
- Exposure to cybersecurity, AI, or emerging tech issues (desirable)
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive and detail-focused approach
- Enthusiasm for technology, innovation, and regulatory developments
