Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)
Venn Group are supporting in the recruitment of an interim Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial advice and support across key service areas within a local authority setting. This role is integral to driving financial efficiency and ensuring robust financial management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a business partner to allocated service areas, offering financial advice on budgeting and forecasting
- Lead financial analysis, budget monitoring, and statutory returns
- Provide expertise in capital, treasury, and collection fund accounting
- Support commercial initiatives and business case development
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, preparing reports and returns
- Promote good financial management practices and deliver finance-related training
Key Requirements:
- Extensive local authority finance experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Expertise in capital, treasury, and collection fund accounting
- Knowledge of public sector financial regulations and frameworks
- Strong communication skills, with experience in liaising across departments and with auditors
