HLTA (Level 4) Flexible Learning Programme Transition Worker
Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic HLTA (Level 4) Flexible Learning Programme Transition Worker to join our fantastic team. This is an exciting opportunity to support learners through key transition stages and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey. What you’ll be doing: Support pupils individually or in small groups to engage in learning, reintegrate into full-time education, and achieve positive outcomes. Deliver and plan structured academic and social learning sessions in a range of settings, including off-site and at pupils’ homes. Coordinate and monitor learning activities with teaching staff and subject leaders, including assessing progress and maintaining accurate records of attendance, engagement, and achievement. Organise and support transition programmes into school, KS5 providers, and where appropriate, vocational placements, including transport and supervision. Promote and support pupils’ mental health, wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development through targeted activities and mentoring. Safeguard and promote pupil welfare by adhering to school policies, contributing to risk assessments, and working closely with the DSL and wider safeguarding team. Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and external agencies, including regular and effective communication with parents/carers and supporting attendance at key appointments. What we’re looking for: GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) Relevant Level 3 qualification (or above) and/or relevant further study Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development Full driving licence and willingness to complete school driver training Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organisation skills with strong written, verbal, and ICT skills Experience working in an educational setting (ideally specialist provision) Understanding of supporting pupils with learning needs, behaviour, or child development Awareness of neurodiversity, trauma, and the impact of ACEs Why work for us?
