Science Teacher
Monarch Education are working with a secondary school in Small Heath to recruit a full-time Science Teacher for a long-term role, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher or an ECT who wants to join a supportive school, build strong relationships with students and make a real impact in the classroom.
The role:
- Full-time Science Teacher position

- Teaching across KS3 and KS4
- Long-term placement

- Based in Small Heath
You will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The school is looking for someone who can create a positive learning environment, support students of different abilities and help raise progress and attainment.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons
- Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3 and KS4
- Create engaging, practical and accessible learning activities
- Assess, mark and track student progress
- Support students with different learning needs
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Work closely with the Science department
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Candidate requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- ECTs welcome to apply
- Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum
- Confident teaching across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Good classroom management skills
- Reliable, proactive and professional approach
- Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
