Development Underwriter – Cyber
Location: Ideally Manchester, but open to Leeds, Birmingham, (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Circa £80,000 + Quarterly Sales Bonus (25% annually)

IPS Group is working with a Global Insurer to recruit three experienced Cyber Development Underwriters to join a newly formed team supporting the launch of a major Cyber proposition across the UK regional market. These are newly created positions offering the chance to play a key role in a high-profile, strategic growth initiative, with the proposition going live in January 2026.

As a Development Underwriter, your primary focus will be on generating new business within the SME Cyber space. You’ll build strong relationships with regional brokers, develop trading opportunities, and support the early-stage growth of a high-performing Cyber portfolio across open market and e-trade platforms.

You will work closely with the Trading Manager based in Manchester, as well as Senior Leaders across the business, including those leading the London operation. This collaborative environment will give you the visibility and support to help shape the team’s success from the ground up.

We’re looking for individuals with proven Cyber underwriting experience, ideally with a strong understanding of broker trading and a technical grasp of cyber risks and emerging threats. You’ll bring a commercial mindset, underwriting confidence, and the ability to contribute to discussions on appetite, pricing, and product development.
