We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working School Admissions Advisor to join the Admissions ICT team within Birmingham’s School Admissions and Fair Access service. This team is key in supporting thousands of children’s access to education each year.
You will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of the school admissions process for all primary and secondary maintained schools and academies in Birmingham, in accordance with a range of published policies and procedures. This post will focus on the support and management of IT systems and processes used within the School Admissions and Fair Access service.
The role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience of dealing effectively with people at all levels. The post holder will also need to have excellent ICT skills and experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and be able to work effectively as a member of a team, as well as managing the competing priorities of their own workload.
The post holder will be required to deal with large volumes of work while preserving high standards of accuracy and working under pressure to operate within statutory timescales and meet strict deadlines. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children.
