Technical Project Lead

Cutting-Edge Sensor Technology | Birmingham | £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus

The Company

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the most exciting technology businesses in the Midlands right now. Our client has developed a world-first fluid sensing system that is transforming how food and beverage manufacturers monitor and control their cleaning and production processes. Their proprietary sensor technology delivers real-time, highly accurate fluid measurement that simply doesn't exist anywhere else in the market - and the world's biggest names in food and beverage manufacturing are taking notice.

They are a small, ambitious and fast-growing business at a genuinely exciting stage of their journey. They have recently strengthened their senior technical leadership and are now looking for a Project Lead to join the team and help drive the next phase of growth.

The Role

As Project Lead you will sit at the heart of the technical delivery team, working closely with the Technical Director and acting as the bridge between the engineering team and the customer. This is a varied and important role that combines technical credibility with project ownership and customer-facing responsibility.

Day to day you will be expected to:

* Lead projects end to end, taking ownership of delivery from requirements through to installation and customer sign-off

* Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, translating their needs into clear briefs for the engineering team

* Manage project timelines, priorities and deliverables, keeping everything moving in a fast-paced environment

* Work closely with the programmers and engineers on the ground, providing technical direction and support

* Support the continued development of the product and contribute ideas for improvement

The Person

We are looking for someone who has come up through a technical background and is now ready to take on more responsibility. You do not need to be the best coder in the room - but you do need to understand how things are built, be able to earn the respect of an engineering team, and be confident dealing with customers.

The ideal candidate will have:

* A solid background in embedded systems, signal processing, sensor technology, instrumentation or a related field

* Experience leading or coordinating technical projects, even if informally

* Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with customers and stakeholders

* An understanding of hardware and software integration

* Familiarity with tools and technologies such as FPGA, DSP, MATLAB, LabView or similar - though no single technology is essential

* A genuine interest in working for a small, innovative company where you can make a real impact

The Package

* £60,000 - £70,000 basic salary

* Bonus scheme

* Based in Birmingham

* A genuinely exciting business at a pivotal stage of growth

If this sounds like the right next step for you, please apply with your CV and we will be in touch
