Digital Account Manager

ITG is looking for a talented Digital Account Manager to take on the responsibility of managing enterprise‑level projects for a large automotive brand.

The Role

Account Managers provide liaison between ITG and the client, capturing requirements, managing budgets and facilitating delivery of enterprise‑level projects. It is the role of the Digital Account Manager to understand the client’s business and the challenges they face in order to represent them within the agency.

They are accountable for the management and technical delivery of multiple cross‑channel strategic projects. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders on accounts, and ensuring the requirements, objectives and expectations of clients are met at all times.

Reporting to an Account Director, this is a key role in our digital account handling team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide management and leadership to multiple client contacts and projects, working with autonomy where appropriate
  • Take and understand initial client requirements and feed these into delivery teams for estimation, working with technical leads and specialists where required
  • Work closely with key client stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to agreed expectations
  • Raise any risks and implications for assigned workstreams during regular cadence meetings
  • Maintain strong alignment with internal delivery teams, enabling detailed reporting on sprint delivery and progress
  • Demonstrate a competent understanding of the digital functionality being delivered
  • Work with technical teams to advise clients on technical solutions and third‑party integrations
  • Challenge internal teams in line with client expectations and objectives, ensuring full requirements are met
  • Understand and help remove project blockers requiring liaison with client departments or third parties
  • Escalate project issues to the Account Director and Business Unit Director where appropriate
  • Produce detailed reporting across all projects, including written documentation, client presentations and regular status reports
  • Create statements of work based on development estimates and manage approval processes internally and with the client
  • Support the identification of new business opportunities across retained and non‑retained work
  • Help drive client strategy and advise on how to achieve business objectives through the use of appropriate technologies

About You

As an experienced Digital Account Manager, you will be comfortable handling responsibility and pressure, delivering digital insight, ideas and innovative solutions that positively transform client businesses. A strong interest in, and understanding of, web and digital technologies is essential.

The Essentials

  • Previous experience working as a Digital Account Manager within a marketing agency, client‑side marketing department, or IT/software provider
  • Experience managing web projects, ideally within an Agile environment
  • Excellent client‑facing, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong written, verbal and numerical skills
  • Bright, motivated and driven, with the confidence to lead by example
  • Positive, proactive and solutions‑focused mindset
  • Enjoyment of a fast‑paced digital agency environment
  • A high‑performing team player who is also a self‑starter and confident decision‑maker
  • Experience maximising revenue and account profitability
  • Proven ability to produce reports, project plans, objectives and KPIs for clients and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to brief work effectively to delivery and development teams
  • Confidence speaking about digital technologies and digital marketing techniques
