About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join a well-established operation based in the B37 area. This role involves trunking work , including deliveries to airports across the UK. As part of the role, drivers will be required to complete air side deliveries , which involves additional security clearance.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking consistent, straightforward work with minimal manual handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out trunking runs between distribution centres and UK airports
• Completing air side deliveries in line with aviation security procedures
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed on time
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
• Adhering to all driver hours, tachograph, and road safety regulations
• Maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph card
• Proven experience driving Class 1 vehicles
• Good understanding of UK road networks and compliance regulations
• Ability to pass aviation security vetting
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

Aviation Vetting Process

Due to the nature of air side deliveries, all drivers must successfully complete aviation security clearance as part of the on-boarding process. This will include:

• Verification of 5-year employment history
• Provision of references to cover the full 5-year period
• Criminal record check (DBS - costs covered by us)
• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Address history and identity verification

Full support will be provided throughout the vetting and registration process.

Working Hours

• Start times between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM
• Shifts run until completion of trunking routes but average shift length is 8-10 hours
• Monday to Friday
