A welcoming secondary school in Brierley Hill is looking to appoint a motivated English ECT to join its supportive English department from January 2026 .
The Role
You will teach English across KS3 and KS4 , contributing to a curriculum that prioritises reading fluency, vocabulary development and structured writing. The department works collaboratively, sharing resources and assessments to reduce workload and provide consistency.
ECT Development
Support includes:
Reduced timetable and phased responsibility
Weekly mentoring with an experienced English teacher
Opportunities to observe strong practice
Structured CPD aligned with ECT requirements
