Are you an experienced Senior Staff Nurse with a specialism in Cardiac Surgery and Thoracic Surgery? We are looking for someone to join our esteemed Cardiac Surgical team in Harborne, Birmingham. This is a full-time position, encompassing a flexible shift pattern from Monday to Sunday, within a dynamic and supportive environment. What you will do:

* Deliver exceptional patient care in a 12-bedded multi-specialty surgical unit, offering support, leadership, and expertise.
* Oversee a 6-bedded Enhanced Care Unit with in-room cardiac monitoring and a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit.
* Provide clinical leadership, support junior colleagues, and serve as a role model within the team.
* Manage patients across various specialties, including GI, Gynae, Orthopaedics, Breast, Spinal, and Liver surgery.
* Develop and maintain a high level of care in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and maintain effective communication.

Who we are looking for:

* Extensive experience in a surgical inpatient setting, particularly with cardiac and thoracic surgery.
* Current nursing registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development through relevant post-registration courses.
* Experience mentoring or precepting junior colleagues, fostering professional growth.
* Competency in Basic Life Support.
