SENCO
Job Title: SENDCO Location: Birmingham Start Date: September 2026 Salary: £200 - £300 per day Are you an experienced SENDCO with a passion for promoting inclusion and improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs? Do you have the leadership skills to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to support a diverse range of SEND needs? Are you committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to achieve their full potential? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Birmingham that is seeking an experienced SENDCO to join their team. The school has a strong inclusive ethos, supportive leadership team, and a commitment to providing high-quality support for all pupils, creating a positive and nurturing learning environment. The school is looking to appoint a SENDCO on a temporary to permanent basis from September 2026. The successful SENDCO will lead SEND provision across the school, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, working closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure effective interventions and outstanding pupil progress. The successful SENDCO will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- The National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to work towards it
- Previous experience working as a SENDCO within a Primary School setting
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A proactive and inclusive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
