ICT Technician - Birmingham - January 2026
A large, high-achieving secondary school in Birmingham is looking for an organised ICT Technician to join its IT Services Team from January 2026.
The school is known for its modern facilities, excellent leadership and focus on innovation in digital learning.
The Role
You’ll provide front-line technical support to staff and students, maintaining the school’s hardware, software and network systems. You’ll also assist in developing the school’s digital learning provision and ensuring technology runs smoothly across the campus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot school IT systems, devices and peripherals.
- Provide technical support for classroom technology and audio-visual equipment.
- Support user accounts, backups and updates.
- Work collaboratively with the IT Network Manager on system improvements.
About You
- Strong IT knowledge, ideally with experience in Windows-based systems.
- Confident using and maintaining hardware and network equipment.
- Clear communicator with a calm, professional approach.
- Relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
