Teaching Assistant
Location: Erdington, B23
Pay Rate: £110 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Monday - Friday, long-term temp to perm.
The role is a long-term position with the opportunity to turn permanent for someone who is passionate about early intervention, patient in their approach, and confident adapting support to meet a range of needs within a classroom environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and whole classroom support for pupils with EHCPs within a KS1 setting
- Deliver targeted small group interventions to support learning and development
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, SEMH and communication difficulties
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and abilities
- Support early learning including phonics, literacy and numeracy
- Implement strategies to support behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualification, or relevant subject is required
- Experience supporting pupils with EHCP
- Previous experience working within KS1 or Early Years
- Strong understanding and experience of SEN, including ASD, SEMH and communication needs
- Confident delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
