SEND Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Secondary - KS3/KS4
Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant (Behaviour-Confident) Location: Birmingham Pay: £90-£110 per day Start: Immediate & ongoing Mainstream secondary schools across Birmingham are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants with strong behaviour management to support pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH. This is not a passive support role. You will be:
- Supporting pupils in mainstream lessons
- De-escalating behaviour calmly and confidently
- Helping students access work and stay regulated
- Working closely with teaching staff and SEND teams
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour
- A calm, authoritative presence
- Flexibility and resilience
- A teaching qualification
- SEN buzzwords without real experience
