Due to internal expansion, the school is seeking a knowledgeable and organised HR Officer.
Role Overview
The HR Officer will oversee daily HR administration and ensure compliance with employment and safeguarding regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating recruitment and safer recruitment checks
Managing staff contracts and documentation
Maintaining HR databases and personnel files
Supporting onboarding and induction processes
Monitoring staff absence and leave records
Assisting with payroll administration
Supporting performance management procedures
Advising staff on HR policies
Ensuring compliance with safeguarding requirements
Liaising with external HR providers
This role requires discretion, accuracy, and a strong understanding of employment legislation.
HR & Operations Structure
The HR Officer works closely with the School Business Manager and senior leadership.
Candidate Requirements
Experience in HR administration
Knowledge of employment law
Understanding of safer recruitment practices
Strong organisational skills
High attention to detail
Excellent communication ability
Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding
