SEND Teacher
Job Title: SEND Teacher Location: Birmingham Start Date: Immediate Start Salary: £165 - £235 per day Are you a qualified SEND Teacher with experience supporting pupils with complex additional needs? Do you have the resilience, patience and confidence to manage challenging behaviour positively and effectively? Are you committed to delivering engaging lessons and preparing differentiated learning for non-verbal learners? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Birmingham that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for pupils with a range of additional needs. The school is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential through personalised support, strong pastoral care and a child-centred approach to learning. The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher on a long-term basis. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for planning and preparing engaging lessons for pupils who are non-verbal and display challenging behaviour, ensuring all learners can access a meaningful and differentiated curriculum while maintaining a safe and positive classroom environment. The successful SEND Teacher will have:
• QTS
- Experience working as a SEND Teacher within a specialist or mainstream setting
- Experience supporting pupils who are non-verbal
- Proven ability to manage and support challenging behaviour effectively
- Experience planning, preparing and delivering differentiated lessons
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
