Shift Leader at Turtle Bay

At Turtle Bay, our restaurant teams are known for creating vibrant, unforgettable experiences, where every drink and dish brings joy and captures the true spirit of the Caribbean. As a Shift Leader, you’ll be at the heart of it all, making sure this tradition thrives and ensuring every guest leaves happy, excited to return. You’ll create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, relaxed, and uplifted – like the easygoing feel of a Caribbean beach bar where life's shared moments are celebrated with warmth and joy. It’s all about leading by example and bringing people together to create those carefree, joyful moments that make Turtle Bay Special.

Your role is not just about supervising—it’s about mentoring, inspiring, and fostering the Turtle Bay way of life. From team briefings to check-ins and training, you’ll ensure your junior team has the skills and confidence to make genuine connections and create memorable moments.

• Live the Turtle Bay DNA: You’ll embody our values and bring the rhythm of the Caribbean to life in every shift—creating a welcoming, supportive space for both the team and our guests. With warmth, energy, and a focus on doing the right thing, you’ll help shape a positive environment where everyone feels they belong.

• Lead and Develop Your Team: You’ll be the go-to on shift—leading upbeat pre-shift briefs and coaching motivating the team to bring their best. From delivering engaging First Bays to supporting ongoing development, you’ll help team members grow in confidence, knowledge, and performance.

• Create Memorable Guest Experiences: You’ll lead by example with genuine hospitality—greeting guests with care, responding to feedback with professionalism, and setting the tone for service that’s full of warmth, personality, and positive energy.

• Deliver Operational Excellence: You’ll take responsibility for running smooth, well-organised shifts. From managing team focus and maintaining a clean, safe environment, to making sure tills are accurate and everyone’s in the know—you’ll keep everything flowing with clarity and calm confidence.

• Drive Financial Success: You’ll support the restaurant’s financial goals by helping to manage labour costs, reducing waste, and ensuring that service is efficient and effective. By helping the team understand the ‘why’ behind key decisions, you’ll build awareness and shared accountability.

• Work Together as One Team: You’ll work hand-in-hand with the floor, bar, kitchen, and management team to make sure everything comes together seamlessly. With clear communication and a hands-on attitude, you’ll help create a shift that feels cohesive, supportive, and high-performing.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow your knowledge and skills through training, tailored courses, and a structured sign-off process, giving you the tools you need to succeed.
