Commissioning Officer
- Contribute meaningfully to commissioning plans that improve outcomes
- Support the delivery of strategic commissioning intentions and delegated activities across Children & Families, including health, wellbeing and prevention services such as the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme and Best Start in Life Family Hubs
- Build strong, productive relationships with stakeholders and providers
- Work closely with internal teams, Birmingham Children's Trust, NHS partners, and a wide range of providers to shape services that meet the needs of children, young people and families
- Collect, input, analyse and interpret data to inform commissioning decisions, performance management and statutory returns
- Support high-quality service delivery through co-production and quality assurance, including undertaking contract monitoring visits
- Demonstrate professionalism, strong governance and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Someone who engages confidently with providers, partners, children and families, adapting your style to different audiences
- Analytical capability and attention to detail eg you can interpret data, analyse performance, and translate insight into practical recommendations
- Commitment to co-production and inclusive practice, you value the voice of children, young people and families and can support their involvement in shaping services
- A proactive, organised and professional approach, you can plan your own work, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high standards of governance.
