Project Manager / Senior Project Manager (Bridges and Civils)
- Take pride in managing high-quality civil and structural designs for new constructions, renewals, maintenance, and assessments or working across sectors.
- Collaborate with both national and international design teams, using your expertise and leadership to create positive, sustainable impacts on society and the environment.
- Manage the production and review of high-quality design documentation, including sketches, drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications.
- Independently carry out project management work and provide guidance to junior staff members.
- Lead teams in the design, assessment, and maintenance of structural or railway civil engineering projects, multi-disciplinary projects, bridges projects or work with other disciplines.
- Develop and agree scopes and manage the internal technical supply chain, including budgets, programme and quality of deliverables.
- Lead bids and tenders, winning work and developing Client relationships.
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a degree in a related discipline and practical experience of Civil Engineering or Structures projects.
- A professional qualification such as (CEng/IEng) and membership of the ICE or IStructE or a professional Project Management Qualification.
- Practical experience of managing transportation projects.
- Experience working with key clients such as Network Rail, HS2, local authorities or major Contractors and Developers.
- NEC 4 Project Management Accreditation or demonstratable experience managing NEC 4 Projects.
- Experience of bidding and winning work.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to converse with a wide range of clients, stakeholders and colleagues across a number of engineering disciplines.
- Good project management skills, commercial awareness, financial control and ability to deliver across a range of contract types. This will include an ability to manage stakeholders, e.g. specialist suppliers, independent checkers and local authorities.
