Commercial IP and Technology Legal Director
The team has built a strong market reputation for delivering innovative, practical and client-focused legal solutions and is recognised for acting as a trusted extension of clients’ in-house legal teams. Due to continued growth and increasing work streams, the team is looking to appoint an ambitious and experienced lawyer who can play a key role in its continued success.
The Role
You will advise on a broad range of commercial and technology-related matters, including:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
- Product supply and distribution agreements
- Agency, logistics, warehousing and supply chain agreements
- Managed service, outsourcing and facilities management contracts
- IT agreements including software licensing, SaaS and system integration projects
- Intellectual property licensing and non-contentious IP matters
- Data protection and privacy compliance, including UK GDPR
- Bribery and modern slavery compliance advice
- Trademark portfolio management and intellectual property disputes
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with a current practising certificate
- Have a minimum of 7 years’ PQE with strong experience across commercial, IP and technology matters
- Possess excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Be capable of managing multiple matters effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Have a high level of professionalism, commercial awareness and integrity
- Be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider national team
