Commercial Litigation Associate
Client
A leading UK and international law firm are seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join their highly regarded team in Birmingham.
Role
You will advise on the full range of commercial disputes including breach of contract, shareholder disputes (including unfair prejudice petitions), partnership disputes, fraud, contentious insolvency (transactions at an undervalue and preference claims) and professional negligence.
You will work directly with Partners on high quality work on a broad range of disputes. You will also get involved with business development.
You
You will be a mid level lawyer with between 2-5 years PQE. You must have experience in broad commercial disputes and experience in cross border commercial litigation work is welcome. You must have an excellent academic and professional record with experience from a well regarded law firm.
It is essential you are able to liaise directly with clients in respect of claims and progressing them to trial ideally independently or with limited supervision. You should be able to demonstrate involvement in business development including developing your own network and building new client relationships directly or working alongside the team.
