The School Context
This 11–18 academy serves a diverse and vibrant community in Birmingham and is known for its strong results, high expectations, and inclusive ethos. The school consistently achieves outcomes well above national averages and is recognised for the quality of its teaching, pastoral care, and leadership.
The Humanities faculty is a dynamic and supportive team that plays a central role in the school’s curriculum. Geography is taught through a rich, knowledge-based approach, encouraging students to think critically about the world around them. Lessons balance geographical theory with real-world application, and fieldwork is a key part of the learning experience.
Students are motivated, respectful, and ambitious. Staff enjoy a professional, purposeful atmosphere where collaboration and continuous improvement are prioritised. The school’s leadership team places great emphasis on professional development, providing clear pathways for growth and opportunities to lead within the department.
What’s on Offer
- A competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
- High-quality CPD and opportunities for career progression
- Strong departmental support and shared planning resources
- Access to modern teaching facilities and digital learning tools
- A positive, professional working environment with supportive leadership
