Applied AI SME

We are currently seeking an Applied AI SME to bring practical expertise and industry insights into the development of applied AI learning programmes.
Role Overview
The Applied AI SME will contribute deep practical knowledge of AI applications in real-world settings, supporting the design, development, and validation of learning materials that prepare learners for AI-enabled roles. Working closely with the learning design and content teams, this role ensures the content reflects current best practices and addresses evolving industry demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise on applied AI methodologies, tools, and workflows.
- Collaborate with curriculum developers to create and review learning content focused on practical AI applications.
- Support the integration of case studies, hands-on exercises, and real-world scenarios into learning materials.
- Advise on emerging trends and technologies in applied AI to keep content current and relevant.
- Offer guidance on ethical considerations, responsible AI practices, and governance within applied contexts.
- Participate in reviews and quality assurance of learning assets to ensure accuracy and practical relevance.
- Contribute to learner support activities such as Q&A sessions or expert forums when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in applying AI technologies and methods in practical, production, or commercial environments.
- Strong understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, data engineering, or other relevant AI disciplines.
- Ability to translate complex AI concepts into accessible learning content and practical exercises.
- Familiarity with the development of educational materials and collaboration with learning design teams.
- Awareness of ethical AI standards, regulatory considerations, and responsible AI deployment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proactive approach to staying updated with the latest AI technologies and industry trends.
