Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Birmingham, Walsall & Wolverhampton
Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas
Salary: £100 – £120 per day (dependent on qualifications, skills, and experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday | Full-time
About the Role
We are currently recruiting experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support mainstream primary schools across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for qualified HLTAs who are confident delivering whole-class lessons, leading small group interventions, and supporting teachers across the curriculum. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absence and providing targeted academic support to pupils.
The Ideal Candidate

Holds a HLTA status or equivalent Level 4 qualification

Confident delivering pre-planned lessons to whole classes
*
Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum
*
Proactive and able to use initiative in the classroom
*
Calm, patient, and adaptable
*
Confident supporting behaviour management
Job Requirements
*
HLTA qualification or equivalent Level 4 TA qualification
*
Recent experience working in UK primary schools
*
Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
*
Fluent English is essential
*
Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
*
Must have or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check
