Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary & Benefits
- £32,000 – £35,000 per annum
- 40 hours per week (7:30am – 4:00pm)
- Opportunity to work across a varied healthcare estate
- Ongoing training and development
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on complex mechanical systems
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, standards, and operational procedures
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
- Support the wider engineering team when required
- Ventilation systems
- Pumps and compressors
- Boilers and heating systems
- Medical gas systems
- Domestic hot and cold water systems
- Previous experience working within a maintenance environment
- Strong knowledge of complex mechanical systems
- A recognised apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline (City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Post-apprenticeship experience in a similar role
- A proactive and problem-solving approach
- This role will involve occasional travel to other sites within the contract
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a live healthcare environment
