Trauma Informed Practitioner
Location: Birmingham
Pay rate: £95-£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from dedicated Trauma Informed Practitioners to work in schools across Birmingham . This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable pupils by providing understanding, structure, and emotional support. As a Trauma Informed Practitioner , you will support pupils who may have experienced adverse childhood experiences, helping them feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn. Key Duties of Trauma Informed Practitioner: * Provide targeted support to pupils affected by trauma and attachment difficulties.
* Build safe, consistent, and trusting relationships with pupils.
* Support emotional regulation and help pupils develop coping strategies.
* Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies.
* Implement trauma-informed approaches within the classroom environment.
* Support behaviour management using calm, empathetic strategies. Essential Requirements: * Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, trauma, or attachment needs.
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice (training desirable).
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to remain supportive and consistent in challenging situations.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one. What's in It for You? * Competitive daily pay of £95-£110 , depending on experience.
