AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) are inviting applications for Trainee Mechanics to be based at Birmingham Airport , working in cooperation with our client airline Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline.

As part of our continuous growth plan, we are seeking to recruit Trainee Aircraft Mechanics for our initial 12-week training programme based at one of our industry-leading Maintenance facilities. Our Trainee Mechanic scheme is designed to provide hands-on training and valuable experience to individuals interested in pursuing a career as an Aircraft Mechanic and Engineer. Under the guidance of our experienced team, trainees will have the opportunity to learn essential skills and techniques required to build a new career within aviation.

Following graduation from the 12-week training programme, successful candidates will then be based at our Birmingham Line Station.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Supervised scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks on Ryanair’s Fleet of Boeing 737-800 and 737-8200 aircraft.
• Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery support.
• Base Husbandry and Housekeeping
• Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment, adhering to all company procedures, policies and regulations.
• Any other tasks as directed by Supervisor / Manager

Requirements

All candidates must have a clean criminal record, Full Manual Driving License and have the unrestricted right to live & work in the country that you are applying for this role within with a valid passport to work within that country.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Engineering Qualification (Desirable)
• Experience in a similar mechanical role such as a motor vehicle mechanic, electrician or fabricator (Desirable)
• Keen interest in Engineering
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Essential)
